I bet James Cameron pilots his sub to the bottom of the Mariana Trench and finds a McDonald's there.

*grabs bug spray* Not sure if this will work. Maybe. I'll grab a toothbrush and some real apples and potatoes and a flamethrower just in case. now, to build a pillow fort…

I still build pillow forts because pillow forts are still awesome.

You have to have a home base from which you can mount a proper defense.

Several years ago I was thinking about doing this idea with Starbucks. Though honestly, McDonalds is probably more recognizable - makes more sense.

If I'd been thinking clearly I would have had a Starbucks sign in the background, rising over top of the building.

McDonalds is a plague upon this Earth.

On a related note, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro takes hours. Upon reaching the top, you'll find several bulldozers flattening the top so they can build an observation deck/cafe.

Several famous mountains are being terraformed like that. Paved roads are also being added. Japan has made quite a bit of progress on this, just check out the show "An Idiot Abroad" for a video example.
